"Chief among sinners"... it's a title we adopt from the Apostle Pauls proclamation...and though wonderfully forgiven by the beautiful grace our Saviour blesses us with, we find the name fits. Not only the human condition we find ourselves in, but our personal lives as well for we were all truly lost, but now we are found... we are "The MercyKings".

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. -Ephesians 2:8

The goal of The MercyKings is to offer hope and encouragement in a world that seems to take great pleasure in trying to beat us down on a daily basis. Somone once said Christians can't sing the blues, but we beg to differ. God willing, we have a long road ahead of us and as many of us know that road can often times be filled with potholes, pitfalls, cracks and breaks. 

We (Christians) are a peculiar people that are called on to be the light in a dark world and the salt of the earth. The bands desire is to communicate our great hope which is "Christ in us, the hope of glory" and to do it in an honest and straight up way that sometimes says it is indeed a hard road at times. 

Gritty, loud, emotional and honest.... it's what we hope to be to others and what we hope our music sounds like.
